Resources and Facilities

The Faculty of Intercultural Studies is located on Toyama Campus in the bustling city of Tokyo, one of the world's largest cities yet also one of the safest. Living in Tokyo offers a wealth of excitement and experiences found nowhere else. Home to facilities ranging from museums and concert halls to shrines and temples, Tokyo can be called a melting pot where Japan's traditional and modern cultures converge. Stroll around Asakusa to take in the sights and sounds of old Tokyo, or take a short ride to Oshiage just a few kilometers away to see Tokyo Skytree, one of the tallest buildings in the world. Tokyo's streetscapes also harbor art installations incorporating Japan's state-of-the-art technology.
Administrative Offices
Home to the administrative offices of the Faculty of Intercultural Studies, Yamaji Fumiko Hall also contains classrooms, LL classrooms, and an audio-visual hall.
Library
The library on Toyama Campus, a recipient of the Japan Library Association Architectural Award, houses a collection of 230,000 volumes and 2,700 journals. Equipped with a computer room, the facility also offers a glassed-in lounge for meetings or conversation.
Student Hall (Gokei-kaikan)
This multi-purpose student center serves as a hub of student life, with a cafeteria, tea room, lounge, and student lockers. Meeting rooms, Japanese-style rooms and a dance studio are located on the third floor, bringing students together for a wide array of extra-curricular activities.
Health Services
To address the health concerns of students, the Health Center is permanently staffed by registered nurses who can respond to medical issues occurring on campus. The Health Center serves students with annual medical check-ups, medical consultations, and referrals to specialists as necessary. In partnership with the Center, the Gakushuin University Student Counseling Office provides students with emotional care and counseling.
