As the second of a series of Japanese culture events for international students, the International Centre organized a Japanese drum lesson on November 2. This was held in lieu of the regular one-day bus trip that usually happens in October but was canceled this year to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The participating students learned from professional drum performers how to beat a drum. Their beats were not together in the beginning, but they performed in harmony in the end.
The participants also enjoyed a powerful and impressive performance by the professionals and experienced a Japanese traditional culture firsthand.
