International students enjoy pottery making

10 Nov 2021

The International Centre organized a series of Japanese culture events for international students in lieu of the regular one-day bus trip that usually happens in October but was canceled this year to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The first of such events was a pottery making workshop held on October 22. With infection prevention measures in place, the participating students made ceramic bowls, cups and plates of their choice in a studio, as instructed by a craftsman. Although they were struggling to create shapes and to paint patterns as desired, they were satisfied with their works.

The final products will be delivered to the participating students a month later. They are looking forward to receiving their "masterpieces."
